Stark Raving Mad

I'm thinking about changing my blog title to Stark Raving Mad. That seems to be my life right now, in a nutshell. I'm mad about our birthboard getting a bad rap by those paranoid shits out there, I'm mad about all the violence in New Orleans, I'm mad about gas prices. And I'm just plain mad...as in crazy.

I know of a few people on the board who need to hook up with one another because they seem to have the same paranoid 'everyone's out to get me' rationale. One in general who flip-flops from being semi-normal to down right crazy. Albeit, her blog makes for an interesting Sci-Fi type read...if you're into that. Mystery Science Theater 2005. Get your bucket of popcorn and have a seat in the front row...it could get interesting.

I'm also tired of hearing about all the shooting down south. What the hell is going on?? People chanting, "we want help"...I just hope they see how help was hindered by all the violence after all is said and done. I wish there was a magic button to separate all the violent losers from the honest victims so they could get the help first.

I want to send so much down there, and I want to do it through every institution who is offering aid. Both of my children's schools are raising money, my church is getting relief bags ready, my town is loading trucks with supplies. I want to give to them all. Unfortunately, I can hardly afford to help my own family right now. I have formula I will donate and bottles to the babies..and probably diapers as well. But, I want to do more.

Now, my gas issue. Maybe I should've said, "my gasoline issue". My theory on the high prices: the gas company charges $2.69/gal, raises it to $3.40/gal. People freak!! So....they "lower" it to $3/gal and people settle down, relieved it's gone down .40/gal. All the while the gas companies sit back and chuckle about cleverly raising the prices .30/gal and people are "happy" about it.

Clever bastards! I'm on to you!! Guess what, I'll get rid of my big SUV and by a diesel because I know how to make BIO-DIESEL!! And it costs next to nothing!!
